Below are the surgeries we treat and manage both pre and post surgery. Weather you goal is to walk up a stairs pain free or run a marathon next year, we will apply our best strategies to get you there.
Pre Surgery Physiotheraphy
When you find out your date of surgery you should call us to find out what is the best timeline for you to work with up to your surgery date. For example, if you have a low back surgery date in for January, we would recommend you do 6 weeks of core work and stretching up to your surgery date so your recovery time is quicker post surgery.
This involves getting you out of pain and building strength and mobility around the area that you will be getting surgery on. This will result in your body being is as good a place as soon as possible before you get surgery which will mean your recovery will be easier and your strength will come back quicker, getting you back to your better self faster.
Post Surgery Physiotheraphy
This will involve the management of your surgery area so it can naturally heal while we negotiate your rehabilitation back to your normal self. The key thing here will be our experience as when to push you and when you are to rest. We will draw out a detailed timeline and review specific targets weekly to ensure you get the best result possible from your surgery.
